Haughton High Head Baseball Coach Glenn Maynor is a legend on the mound and a hometown hero with over three decades of coaching excellence under his hat. As the longest-serving coach of any sport in Bossier Parish, his legacy continues to inspire, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Finally, don’t miss Superintendent Shout-outs spotlighting two students who excelled in the 4th District Congressional Art Competition, the Bucs in Blue and the G.O.A.T. of Parkway High School Julie Edwards.

Students: Library books and materials are DUE to the library on Tuesday, May 6! You also need to get all of your library fees paid by then. Those fees are to be paid in the library-cash only. You were given notices last week about how much you owe and what you have checked out. We have a few English classes that are reading the Great Gatsby and Lord of the Flies- those books will be due on May 16. SENIORS: your books and fees need to be taken care of by May 1. You will not receive your cap and gown if you don't take care of your library books and overdue fees and school fees.


Congratulations to Aleigha Brandes, Madison Menard (not pictured), Melrose Beverly, and Madeline Delaune for graduating from the Bossier Youth Leadership Program. We look forward to watching their leadership skills continue to grow. Way to go Juniors!


It's time to vote for Class Favorites! Each grade will vote for favorites for that grade.
Juniors will vote for Ring Ceremony favorites.
The entire student body votes for Mr. and Miss PHS.


Saturday night, the lacrosse team went down to New Orleans and played Jesuit in the DII Semifinals. The Panthers came out on top 8-6 advancing to the DII State Championship against Catholic on Saturday. Gavin Ferrington had 5 goals, Joshua Fuentes 2 goals, Nick Adkinson 1 goal in the win. Goalie Lance Johnson had 15 saves to seal the victory.

Parkway will host a dance on May 3rd in the Aux Gym. This will be a free dance for Parkway Students. Hurry and sign up! Spots will be limited!! All fees must be paid to attend. Sign ups will begin on Tuesday, April 22nd. You must sign up on your School Cash Online account.

We are still taking Applicants for Summer Drivers Education. Extending registration to the morning of May 8th.
Cost is 450 Dollars cash or money order. Pay at the main office with Mrs Pye. Must have a Temporary Instructional Permit. A Parent or Guardian will need to be present to pay. Classes start May 9th.

The Speech & Debate team is having an interest meaning for those who are interested in competitive acting, public speaking, and debating. Join Mrs. Lepore and the team in C131 Wednesday, April 23 for a 30 minute meeting at 2:30pm or 4:00pm to hear what the team is all about.


LEAP testing starts on Wednesday! See the attached testing and bell schedule. If you are testing, please try to be present for all of your testing schedules. We are also offering FREE tutoring for the LEAP tested subjects.
Tutoring sessions - students MUST sign up and MUST have a ride home!
English starts this week so there will not be English tutoring.
